The fire that started yesterday afternoon and was stopped by a fire break at about 11:00 p.m. has started again. Here's Anton Borst with the RM of Grey Fire Department.

"Our St. Claude Station responded to the fire in Sandhills' Bengal Road. There was no obvious cause why it started yesterday, but was either carelessness or deliberately set."

He notes with wind picking up today, the fire was re-ignited. Borst adds if the wind continues, he expects they'll be working to make a new firebreak around it and stay until they're confident it's contained, which will probably be late tonight.

He asks you to be cautious and careful with cigarette butts, burning garbage and so on seeing as the conditions are dry, and plenty of wind has been forecast lately.
