Last weekend the Portage Collegiate Saints won the consolation final at the Garden Valley tournament, and now they're at it again, this time in Boissevain.

With competition getting underway Friday, the Saints have continued doing what they do best, and that's win. Game one saw them narrowly sneak past Nellie McClung by a score of 4-3. From there they'd hand losses to St. Rose and Vincent Massey by scores of 3-1 and 8-1 respectively.

Shea Carriere has had a fantastic season and that continued Friday afternoon as she'd go the complete game against Nellie McClung, striking out seven in the process and coming up big with two hits. Sarah Thomson had the start for game two with St. Rose, and she would go the complete five innings and finished with ten strikeouts. Helping the cause was Marisa Fraser who had two hits in the 3-1 victory. To this point their largest margin win of the tournament came against Vincent Massey, who had to deal with the tough pitching core of the Saints that's led by Carriere. She would go all five and record six strikeouts along the way. She, along with Thomson and Sydney Taylor had six of the teams eight hits to improve to 3-0 at the tournament.

Next up for the squad is a meeting with Northern Parkway at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
