It's an important communication tool they are trying to make available to everyone.

Brian Spencer, business and project coordinator with Central Plains Incorporated, says they have received two point one million dollars to go towards making high speed internet available to rural residents.

The federal and provincial governments, through the Municipal Rural Infrastructure Fund Program, will help provide this tool to eleven communities.  The RM of Grey is one of those communities.

Spencer says the internet service provider will be "I" net link of Brandon.

He says they are hoping to begin construction on the towers in April, when the frost is out of the ground.
