On January 25th 2016, at about 3:30 AM, the Portage la Prairie RCMP received a call of suspicious activity in a trailer park, East of Portage la Prairie. Officers at the scene learned that several properties were disturbed, and that a vehicle had been stolen from a residence.

Investigators followed tracks left by the vehicle to an area South of Portage la Prairie. Officers observed the stolen vehicle, and attempted to pull it over. After abandoning the vehicle in Southport, two male suspects fled on foot. With the assistance of Portage la Prairies Police Dog Services (PDS), officers were able to locate an 18 year old male, who was arrested for possession of stolen property.

Police have reasons to believe that the second suspect is Tommy Edward James Beaulieu (19 years old). A warrant for Beaulieu’s arrest has been issued, as he is presently at large. Charges against him include possession of property obtained by crime, failing to comply with a probation order, and various weapons offences.

If you have information about Beaulieu’s whereabouts, please contact your local police department. Anonymous tips, which can result in cash awards if they lead to the capture of Beaulieu, can be given to Manitoba Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by visiting www.manitobacrimestoppers.com
