On January 25, RCMP responded to a call at a home on Oak Bay in Portage la Prairie to try and locate a wanted man.
He was wanted on two outstanding warrants for several charges including Flight from a Peace Officer, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and several weapons offences.
Officers found the man and arrested him without incident. A search resulted in the seizure of 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4 grams of crack cocaine, a knife, a mask and drug paraphernalia.
Along with his warrants, Dexter Houle, 38, has also been charged with two counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
He was remanded into custody.

Last Thursday, Portage la Prairie RCMP attempted to arrest a man on two unendorsed warrants in the city and found more than they expected.
On January 25, RCMP recieved information that the wanted man may be at a residence in Portage.
With the homeowner's permission, police searched the home and located the suspect.
At the same time as the arrest, police found 12.7 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine, as well as 4 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a scale with cocaine residue, multiple empty dime bags, a hunting knife and a drug pipe among other items.
The man has been remanded to custody for charges of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2.
