Portage la Prairie RCMP has made an arrest in MacGregor following the theft of a Lexus.
Police say on May 7th, around 2:15 p.m., they received a tip of the stolen vehicle at a business in MacGregor, but when officers arrived, the vehicle was gone. Officers then learned that the woman had gone to James Avenue in Sidney, Manitoba.
Once they got to Sidney, they were able to find and arrest the 28-year-old woman from Brandon without incident. The 2021 Lexus NX300 was originally stolen out of Winnipeg.
Deirdre MacDonald was arrested and is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 and Fail to Comply with a Release Order.
She was remanded into custody and appeared in court on May 9th.
