If your weekend plans are looking dull, prepare to go down the rabbit hole to the Prairie Drama Academy's rendition of Wonderland.

The show, which takes inspiration from Alice in Wonderland, will run from September 29th to October 1st. Chris Kitchen, with the Prairie Drama Academy, says they're focusing on multimedia usage for this show, which will make it look quite different than an average performance.

"We are using the trifecta," explains Kitchen. "We've got the drama happening on stage, we've got the music, and we're actually using quite a bit of video."

Craig Bennett is also a member of the Wonderland cast, and he says the cast size for the production is great, with kids and adults taking to the stage. The cast also varies in experience, with some performing countless shows before and others stepping in front of an audience for the first time.

"We're always looking for new people that are interested in wanting to go onstage," notes Bennett. "Whether you've never done it before, or whether you are a seasoned veteran of some kind and want to get back at it, we're always looking for new people."

Bennett adds the Prairie Drama Academy is looking forward to putting on multiple shows in the future, including a Christmas and radio show.

The Wonderland showtimes are 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday's showing scheduled for 2:30 p.m. in the Basement Theatre, 601 Tupper Street North. They encourage you to buy tickets at the door.
