Those who have lived in Portage la Prairie or just moved here have another resource to discover what is happening in our city.

The second edition of the Portage City Guide is here and should already be in your mailbox. Mayor Sharilyn Knox says these guides are an excellent way for the city to communicate anything and everything with residents.

"It's a purpose of our Council to make sure that we're communicating with our citizens, and in the guide, you can see what our top five strategic directions and priorities are, and one of them is to be an inclusive and informed community. So, our goal is to find ways to communicate with our citizens for the next three years."

Knox shares that in the guide, you will find information on the city's snow clearing, the Saskatchewan Avenue West Rejuvenation project, and the top five strategic directions.

The mayor states that you should already have these in your possession. However, if you live outside of the city, there is still a way that you can read it.

"We have an electronic version that you can find on the city website. So, anybody anywhere in our region, province, country, and even the world can read the Portage la Prairie city guide."
