Portage la Prairie firefighters sent two trucks out to Highway 16 on Friday to take care of a car fire.

Six crew members were on scene at 1:17 p.m. on September 1st, trying to keep the blaze from spreading to a nearby field. When crews arrived, the car was engulfed. They put the fire out, but the car was destroyed.

No injuries were reported at the scene.
