According to the president of Club Snow in Portage la Prairie, it was a successful year for the organization. Ken Penman says one of the major highlights from this past year was getting a new trail groomer, which really helped the club.

"This year was a banner year for Club Snow as far as I'm concerned. Dave Bailey from Westbourne stepped up to the plate and bought a tractor, or groomer as we call it, and the club built a drag. The cost of that was about $12,000, but Dave stepped up to the plate and we now have 2 groomers that can groom our trails."

Penman says thanks to the new groomer, more trails can be developed.

"We're going to try to outline a trail from Gladstone all the way down to us here in Portage and further. We're joining with Rolling Range in Holland-Treherne and St. Claude and we're going to take over and help them develop a trail up into Spruce Woods Park."

Club Snow held their "Weiner Wind-up" yesterday at delta to officially end the snowmobile season.
