It was a good start in Hamiota for the PCI boys curling team today as they took down Baldur 11-6. The foursome, skipped by grade 10 Colton Olafson, took an early lead after several key shots in the first half of the match.

The young team also features third Nolan Ross (gr. 9), second Tristan Blight (gr. 10) and lead Hunter Jeffries (gr. 9). It is the teams first ever appearance at the provincial event after they secured a wild spot by finishing second in the Zone 4 playdowns a short time ago. The victory means they will be on the ice against Dauphin this afternoon at 2:30 in the A-side quarter final. The event features 15 schools from around the province and teams need to lose twice before they are eliminated.
