Earlier today, we told you about the break-in at Olina Fashions in downtown Portage la Prairie.

Owners Ajay and Komal Aggarwal were cleaning up just before 5 this morning, after the RCMP had completed their investigation.

Ajay Aggarwal says this is happening often.

"I think the crime rate is very high," he says, "This is third big break-in, in the last one and a half months. I think it's up to our law system. Whenever the RCMP has caught the person, nothing has happened to them, so people are taking advantage of it."

Aggarwal acknowledges they're considering whether they should stay.

"This is so often now, and become so difficult," he says, "Stealing is happening in the night, stealing is happening in the day, (with broad daylight) cameras. So we have more stealing than selling, so it's become very difficult for us to stay in this town."

Between $4000 and $5000 worth of merchandise was stolen this time.
