More details have been released with respect to the latest COVID-19 death in Manitoba.

On Tuesday it was announced that a man in his 70s, from Southern Health had died from COVID-19. This was the eighth death in the province related to the virus. Manitoba's Chief Provincial Public Health Officer said this was a new case reported on Tuesday and that the individual was not hospitalized.

Today, Dr. Brent Roussin added a few more details. He says the man died on July 22nd. Dr. Roussin notes public health received the positive lab result on July 26th.

According to Dr. Roussin, public health will announce any details that benefit the health of Manitobans. He notes this is all the information that will be released.
