The Town of Stonewall council has welcomed a new Assistant CAO to their team. Mayor Lockie McLean says council is thrilled to see a familiar face fill the position.

"We are really really happy. We hired a lady by the name of Diane Allen who had worked for the city for about ten year. Earlier last year she moved onto a new position outside of Stonewall. It was a sad day for us because we knew she was a very skilled and hard working employee and had her certification as a municipal administrator. When she applied for the job we just felt so fortunate again to have her working for the town."

McLean notes they have had a lot of luck hiring locally.

" The new council came in in late 2014 and we have had a complete changeover at the senior level of our municipal staff and then we have also had a complete changeover at our next level of management due to retirement. So really the management of the town right now, if you look at it from a year or two years ago it is a completely new team."

McLean says council is thrilled to have so many great people aboard their team and working to keep Stonewall the great place it is.
