With the provincial election around the corner, now is the last chance for candidates to get your vote.

Charles Huband is the Liberal Party Candidate for Portage la Prairie. He was a former judge for 27 years in the Manitoba Court of Appeal.

Huband outlines his campaign strategy leading up to the election.

"We're just going door to door," says Huband. "I am going to try and meet with some of the leaders and some of the Reserves that are close to Portage la Prairie, and within the ambit of this constituency."

Huband says he doesn't really get a reaction from door-to-door campaigning.

"People are hesitant to say, I don't like the government of the day or that they support the Liberal Party. Most people have been friendly with me during this campaign."

Huband is no stranger to elections. He was the leader of the Manitoba Liberals between 1975-1978. Huband says he's not going to stress about the results.

"I've been through elections before. It doesn't bother me one way or another," says Huband. "I don't get a high feeling in terms of my expectations, but I don't feel low if we've run into a few problems."

The provincial election takes place on September 10th.
