The Portage and District Chamber of Commerce Home and Business Expo is already proving popular with businesses, but they're willing to accept a few more booths. About 40 booths have already been confirmed for the event, which takes place March 4th and 5th, but Chamber Executive Director Cindy McDonald says they're still willing to accept a few more before the end of this week.

"Up until about Friday I can still squeeze some in. The PCU Arena is huge, I forgot how big it was, so we have lots of room to squeeze in more. If you're interested, please give me a call and I can squeeze you in."

She says they already have a wide range of booths set up, ranging from banks and lawyers, to pet stores and home based businesses, adding it seems those who've signed on are getting excited.

"I think they're excited. It gives them a great opportunity to get in front of customers and their potential customers. I think the ones who are signed up are pretty excited for a great weekend. As long as the weather is good for us, it will be fantastic."

McDonald notes this is their first expo, and she's thrilled to see so much support already. Those looking to sign up before the end of the day Friday can contact the Chamber at (204) 857-7778.
