While a mild winter wasn't what those with Club Snow Inc. were hoping for, they were able to turn the snow they did get into well-made trails for snowmobilers.

President Doug Atchison says there was a phenomenal number of riders on the trails this year, but those closer to the border would've had more snow to play with. He mentions that the club still enjoyed multiple trips, despite snowfalls being way below expectations.

"We had a couple of successful overnight rides," explains Atchison. "We ventured on other clubs' trails. One ride went down south to Morden and returned the following day. our other ride went west towards Carberry up to Neepawa and back to Portage."

Atchison adds that while every snowmobile club goes through its share of issues throughout any given season, this year didn't have many incidents. At least, not on purpose.

"Sometimes people drive on the trail inadvertently," says Atchison. "We're aware of one person, his GPS actually told him to go down our trail, so that's what he did. He got stuck and had to get a tow truck. With our groomer going by a few days later we were successful in fixing that up."

The president hopes that anyone that was on the trails at any point this year enjoyed them, and Atchison remains hopeful that there will be more snow on the ground for next season.

The club will officially wrap up for the 2022-23 season on Friday, March 31st.
