Kaiden Banfield's one step closer to suiting up for the blue and gold.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have announced their first round of cuts for their training camp and Banfield still has his playbook. The former Portage Pitbull and PCI Trojan has been injured and hasn't been able to participate in camp so far, meaning the Bombers must have faith in his abilities.

The running back played for the Winnipeg Rifles and Okanagan Sun in the Canadian Junior Football League.

Banfield is currently listed as #30 for the Blue Bombers. Other running backs currently signed include Brady Oliveira, Johnny Augustine, Chris Smith, and Ronnie Brown.
