Portage la Prairie RCMP was recently dispatched to an unknown male knocking on a door in the early morning hours in the Willow Bay area.

The caller did not recognize the male at the door and called the police. Officers say they arrived before 4 a.m. on May 8, and located an intoxicated 23-year old man from Portage with an outstanding warrant of arrest.

Police say they placed the man under arrest and held him in custody until he was sober. He was released to appear in court at a later date for his outstanding warrant, and the suspect did not receive any additional charges in this occurrence.
