An incumbent member of the RM of Portage Council will seek re-election

 

Wally Ducharme of Ward 1 says he enjoys the position, and notes drainage, roads, and gravel as some issues he will continue to deal with if re-elected.

Ducharme encourages others to get involved, but as he found out being a councillor is hard work. Currently, no one else has come forward in Ward 1, but he hopes for some political competition.
