UPDATE:

A fire started up again at 9th St NE in a house that caught fire Wednesday, January 3, in Portage la Prairie. 

Firefighter Curtis Rance explains that, at 6:25 a.m. January 4th, they received a call about trees being on fire in front of a house.

"While enroute, we got an update that the structure was involved," says Rance. "When we arrived on scene, it was fully involved. We had four trucks respond with about 15 firefighters on scene."

The fire is under investigation.

Previous story:

Wednesday afternoon saw the Portage la Prairie Fire Department and local RCMP attend to a fire on 9th St NE, and that same house has now caught on fire again.

Firefighters are currently on the scene once again battling the new blaze.
