It was a packed house last night at the BDO Centre as the Central Plains Female Capitals hosted Norman, on Taylor Piskor fundraiser night.

Taylor Piskor, a member of the Central Plains bantam female team, was seriously injured in a car accident on January 10th and remains in hospital. Trish Guimond helped organize the fundraiser and comments on it's success.

"It was wonderful to see everyone come out and support the Piskor family, and do anything to help them out in this situation"

Guimond adds it's things like this that really show how tight-knit your community is.

All proceeds from the game including the raffle and 50/50 draw will go to the Piskor family to help them out in any way possible. Some of the prizes given away at the raffle included a Jonathan Toews and Nik Ehlers NHL jerseys, Portage Terriers and Manitoba Moose team signed jerseys, Winnipeg Jets tickets, and travel vouchers from VIA Rail and WestJet and the 50/50 draw raised over $150. A GoFundMe page has also been made for the Piskor family.
