Heartland Family Wellness Centre is hosting their first ever 'Heartland Homecoming' event today at Portage la Prairie's Canad Inns. Naturopathic Doctor Lisa Graham says Heartland creates wellness plans for families to help reach their full potential and live a healthier life. She outlines today's event.

"It's going to be awesome! We're welcoming anybody that is curious about heartland, or has a health story that they want to share or would like me to hear. It's also for the patients that we have right now who we love, and past patients as well! Come on out! I want to see how you're doing!"

Graham says they'll be discussing a family wellness plan at the event.

"We're going to be unveiling the family wellness plan. It's very attainable for all families and anyone who wants wellness for their family. And who doesn't really? We are going to be discussing that big time and how it can improve our community as well."

She talks about some of the activities.

"It's going to start out with some fun and games and some yummy food, and because it's St. Patrick's Day there's going to be green smoothies and they're going to be delicious. Then we'll have time for more kids games and then we're going to have a brief program starting at 6, John Sushelnitsky is going to be playing some beautiful music for us."

'Heartland Homecoming' is free, and will run from 5pm-7pm at Canad Inns.
