Staffing shortages have temporarily caused the Glenboro Health Centre's emergency department to close its doors.
According to a memo obtained by PortageOnline from Prairie Mountain Health (PMH), this closure is due to a physician staffing shortages across the country.

CEO Brian Schoonbaert said in the memo that anyone requiring Emergency Care is advised to call 911. EMS (ambulance response) will transport anyone requiring emergency care to the nearest open emergency department.
PMH also noted that they actively recruit physicians, nurses and other professional and skilled healthcare staff for the region.
