Former Portager To Receive Award

A former Portager is receiving two awards for volunteering.

Sally Thomas will be getting the OC's Volunteer of Distinction Award, as well as the Raymond Simard Member of Parliament Award for Volunteerism.

Thomas explains how she became a volunteer eight years ago after being approached by OC while teaching nursing in a university program.

Thomas has almost done it all with OC, she is on the board of directors and is the newsletter editor and she was president.
