There's only one game in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League tonight, the Winkler Flyers are in Selkirk taking on the Steelers. 

The Flyers are starting to slip in the Addison Division, they have moved in to 4th place falling behind the Winnipeg Saints who have a narrow 4 point lead for 3rd spot in the Addison.  Winkler is coming off of a 5-4 loss to the Terriers on New Year's Eve, while the Steelers also lost on the last day of 2006, 5-4 to Neepawa.  The Steelers are a MJHL powerhouse and have found the net a remarkable 230 times in 38 games, they're currently tied for 1st in the Addison division with the Winnipeg South Blues, both teams have 63 points.  The Terriers next see action tomorrow night when they play host to the visiting Dauphin Kings, game time is 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Arena. 

In the WHL the Brandon Wheat Kings wrapped up their three game road trip with a 3-0 loss to the Pats in Regina. Linden Rowat stopped 34 shots in recording the shutout. The Wheat Kings are 20-14-2-5 and lead the second place Swift Current Broncos by five points in the Western Hockey League's East Division.

Meanwhile at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Sweden, Canada will find out later today who they'll meet in the semi-final. Canada will face either the United States or Finland. The Czech Republic will take on Sweden in today's other quarter-final with that winner meeting Russia in tomorrow's semi.

Curtis Joyal of Springfield is the number two seed for the Provincial Junior Men's Curling Championship which begins Thursday in Rivers. Andrew Irving of Fort Garry is the top seed. Sherry Just of Springfield is seeded eighth for the Provincial Junior Women's Championship which begins Thursday in Virden. Two time defending champion Calleen Neufeld of St.Vital is the top seed.
