It's been just over 11 years since Jennifer Catcheway disappeared. Her parents live in Portage, and every year since then, they've held a fundraising barbecue. It's today, from 11 until 6, at their home on Poplar Bay. Bernice Catcheway explains why they're fundraising.

"Our silent auction fundraiser is to continue our search for Jennifer and without the community's support, we wouldn't be able to do it," says Catcheway. "We rely on the people's financial support to keep us out there."

They have never stopped looking for Jennifer, noting she and her family followed up on a tip recently. They searched non-stop for a month.

"Eleven years later, and we're eleven years older. It's very tiring but we must continue," says Catcheway. "Somebody out there holds the answer and I'm just praying that somebody will come forward with that little, last piece of information that we need to bring Jennifer home."

She says there are many ways someone can help if they think they know something.

"Come forward, come forward. You can phone RCMP tipline, you can get to me through to me through Facebook," says Catcheway. "Nothing is too small. No information is too small. We are ready to go. That's why we fundraise. We are ready to go at any moment to go and check an area out."

A candlelight vigil will be held at 6 pm, immediately after the barbecue.
