Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Meteorologist Stephen Berg tells PortageOnline what to expect in the coming days.

"The rest of Wednesday is going to be pretty sunny, and Thursday will start the day sunny as well. But then it will be showery with a thunderstorm risk later on Thursday. It will start clearing out Thursday night and into Friday. It will begin to be sunny again on Friday with some more clouds coming in Friday night and clearing up for a good chunk of Saturday," he continues. "Saturday night and Sunday showers are predominant in the forecast for the area."

Berg says that temperatures will be in the low to mid 20° range for the next while, with overnight lows anywhere from about 10° to 14°.

"People can expect a sunny start to the weekend but then a showery end to it."

Rest assured, the temperatures are within the normal range for Portage at this time of year. The daytime highs are expected to be around 22 °, with lows around 8°.

He notes that we should be into a stretch now where we see +20° for a while; however, some cloud cover can quickly diminish a daytime high.
