There were two games in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League last night, the Terriers found success against the Sherwood Division's number one team. 

The dogs played host to the Dauphin Kings in the MJHL last night.  Carson Rowat found his 13th goal of the season early in the first period, however Dauphin was quick to respond.  The Kings took a 2-1 lead in to the locker room heading in to the second after goals from Greg Halliday and Luke Stokotelny.  Second period scoring was all Terriers, Jason Wright and Eric Delong both found the net in the second frame giving the dogs a one goal lead going in to the 3rd.  Robbie Roteliuk scored a powerplay goal in the 3rd period to give the Terriers some insurance and eventually a 4-2 victory.  Portage Goaltender Matt Korchmar stopped 39 shots in the contest. 
In last night's other contest Brent Howarth had a pair of goals and an assist as the Steelers downed the Winnipeg Saints 5-2. Landon Kroeker stopped 52 shots in net for the Saints. Tonight in the league the Southeast Blades meet the Winnipeg South Blues at Century Arena, game time for the contest is 7:30 p.m.

There were 5 games in the Manitoba 'AAA' Midget Hockey League last night.  The Central Plains Capitals were 7-5 winners over Parkland.  The Capitals sit in 3rd place in the Manitoba 'AAA' Midget Hockey League's West Division with 22 points. They next see action this Saturday when they host Southwest in Gladstone.
