The Canadian Foodgrains Bank is hosting a unique conference at a farm just south of Winnipeg this weekend. Participants from across Canada will examine issues relating to the production and consumption of food.
Spokesperson Dan Wiens says they'll visit farms, grocery stores, food processors and the like to gather information.
They'll then discuss their findings in such a way that considers producers, our health and the environment.
Wiens adds they don't want to get prescriptive and tell the rest of us how to think about the ethics of food.
Rather, they'd like to heighten our awareness of the issues so we can make more informed choices.
