Dawn Edith Pearce
January 22, 1943-June 22, 2024

With much sadness, the family of Dawn Edith Pearce (nee Moffat), announces her passing on
June 22, 2024 at the age of 8l yrs. at the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Portage la Prairie Manitoba.

Dawn was born on January 22, 1943 in Portage la Prairie to parents, Earl and Pauline Moffat.

She grew up and attended elementary and high school in Rossburn, where her Dad owned the local Pharmacy. She joined the CGIT group, and was a loyal member of the Rossburn United
Church. You could always find Dawn cheering on the local hockey team, and or playing bingo!

After high school, Dawn moved to Portage la Prairie where she was employed at the sewing factory. It was in Portage during the hockey playoffs in March 1965, that she met her husband, Nelson Frederick Pearce, a member of the RCAF, Southport. They were married on August 28, 1965 at the RCAF Chapel, Southport.

In 1966 they were posted to CB Trenton, ON. Their first child, Gary was born in 1969. Three years later, in 1972, they were blessed with a daughter, Judith Lynn (Jody).

The year 1975 saw them posted to CFB Cold Lake Alberta, where the family, including their pets, a dog and a cat, resided until 1988, when they were posted back to CFB Southport.

Mom is survived by her son Gary (Lorri), Grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew, Daughter, Jody, sister Pat Pitcher (Glenn), nieces Heather Bidzinski and Shannon Walker as well as many friends. She was predeceased by her mom and dad, her husband Nelson, and her brother, Joseph.

Mom would never miss a Terriers Hockey Game-Talk about an AVID fan? She liked to cook and her chocolate chip cookies were second to none! Her hobbies included knitting, sewing and
most of all-her grandchildren! They were the stars of her life! She was able to take two fabulous
cruises with Jody, and she thoroughly enjoyed them.

She will be missed by all, but will be happily reunited with all the family and friends who have
gone on before her. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Douglas Campbell Lodge for their
kind and compassionate care and support during Mom's time with them.

The Memorial Service for Dawn Pearce will take place on Friday, July 5th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at
