Whenever a provincial election is called, Health Minister Tim Sale won't be running. He made that announcement yesterday, adding he plans to devote more time to his family.

Turtle Mountain Conservative MLA Cliff Cullen acknowledges the differences between his party and the NDP, but believes Sale tried to do what was best for Manitoba. He adds Sale has tried to help with local constituency concerns whenever possible.

Cullen was surprised at Sale's decision, but understands the health portfolio is difficult, and why he may step away from it.

Cullen also wonders about a significant cabinet shuffle or whether an election could be in the offing.
