The town of Teulon is planning on pulling out of the South Interlake Emergency Measures Agreement, which may be an issue for the RM of Armstrong. Armstrong Reeve Jack Cruise explains the situation.

"A group of municipalities in the South Interlake region are involved in the agreement. The town of Teulon is planning on pulling out of that agreement and going with their own emergency measures person. One of the other municipalities involved is considering pulling out too, so I guess Armstrong is going to have to make up out mind as to whether we partner with the remaining municipalities or go on our own."

Cruise says he's unsure why Teulon is terminating the agreement.

"I'm not really sure what Teulon is thinking about as far as leaving. I think that they just feel they can handle it themselves and maybe do a better job."
