The Portage la Prairie & District Chamber of Commerce held a luncheon today in cooperation with the Portage Rotary Club. InScope managing director Azhar Laldin outlines the presentation he gave.

(R-L) Azhar Laldin & Brent Patten"I think information security is something that a lot of people don't think about," says Laldin. "They think it's a small business, or a midsize company, something that's not in the layer of companies that are typically the target. But that's not true. The information that hackers are looking for is all the same. It's the same type of credit card information, for example."

Senior security consultant Brent Patten also spoke, and adds their approach to information security focuses on integrating the I.T. side of things with physical and corporate security to cover all risks, as a new form of security in the field.

Preston MeierChamber president Preston Meier says it was great to partner with Rotary and to offer this information that targets a real challenge small businesses in our community are faced with today.
