Poor cell service is causing concern for some in the RM of Coldwell.

Reeve Brian Sigfusson RM Reeve Brian Sigfusson says they need better cell service in case of a severe weather emergency.

"When the leaves get thick like they are now, the cell service doesn't work well," explains Sigfusson. "Even though we have towers nine miles away. So that could be improved."

Sigfusson says some people are left with little or no warning of a severe weather storm.

"I know it's not very often that we get that kind of weather," says Sigfusson. "Still, it would be nice to have a little bit more warning, so people feel a lot better and not feel as worried about what's going to happen."

Sigfusson says past attempts to get better cell service in the area have had little success. He hopes MLA Derek Johnson can help spread the word for the area needing the improvement.
