Canada can clinch first place in Pool "A" and earn a bye to the semi-finals with a win today over Germany at the World Junior Hockey Championship in Sweden.

Canada is 2 and 0 after wins over the United States and the host Swedes. The German's edged the Americans in overtime and also beat Slovakia.

Canada will put it's 2 and 0 record on the line today against Russian club team Khimik at the Spengler Cup Hockey Tournament in Davos, Switzerland. Canada's final round robin game is against EHC Eisbaren Berlin on Saturday.

There are 10 games in the NHL tonight. Four Canadian teams take to the ice including the Senators, they're trying to stretch their latest win streak to three games when they host the Rangers.  In other action Toronto is in Pittsburgh taking on the Penguins.  Montreal travels to take on Florida tonight and Calgary faces off with Los Angeles.
