The Municipality of Norfolk-Treherne Council is preparing for another busy summer at Cottonwood Park Campground.

Reeve Craig Spencer says a lot of people visit the campground and take swimming lessons during their stay, but adds scheduling for swimming lessons has been an issue in the past.

"We have had some difficulties with meshing the swimming lessons time period with reservations at the campground. Council, made the decision to go through the process of hiring a group out of Winnipeg who will set up some software for us, and hopefully, starting this year, we're going to have online registration as they do for the provincial parks. We hope that it alleviates some of the stress and concerns that some people have had in the past."

Spencer says the program will be much more efficient.

"People will be able to go online and look at the campground map and choose their site, see if it's available, book it and pay for it and It's secure for them. It alleviates a lot of the stress for out campground attendant as well. We're looking forward to it and hopefully it's up and running for 2016."

Spencer says the new registration program will be self-financed by the campground, with money it makes throughout the summer.
