It was another busy year for the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin. Museum President Angie Klym says one of the big highlights for the year is the increase in the size of their collection.

"We continue to build on our collection with new artifacts. We've seen quite a few unique tractors, stationary engines and vehicles come into our collection this year. This is coming from across the province, families graciously donate artifacts."

Klym adds another big highlight for the year was the starting of an endowment fund to help secure the future legacy of the museum.

"The museum became a part of the North Norfolk Foundation. We embarked on opening an endowment fund. Individuals who want to donate place their money in the endowment fund. That money will be there forever so the legacy will always live on."

The proceeds from the fund will be used to acquire new artifacts for the museum, as well as upgrade the existing visitor experience infrastructure.
