A semi and school bus with children collided in Headingley Wednesday morning, causing disruptions to traffic.

The crash occurred at Highway 1 and PR 334 at 7:45 a.m., according to Mounties.

Six students were reportedly on the bus, and the officials confirmed the children were not injured in the crash. The bus driver and semi-driver were also uninjured from the incident.

The initial report from police shows that the semi-trailer jackknifed in an attempt to avoid the impact. Traffic was blocked as a result.

RCMP noted that one lane will was reopened to allow traffic to move.
