The Canadian National Senior Broomball Championships continue today at Stride Place.  With competitors from all over Canada in attendance, many people are getting the chance to experience Portage and Stride Place for the second or even the first time.  Here's Ottawa Nationals Head Coach Steve Norman.

"Awesome facility," says Norman. "I was here once before in 2011 with the Juvenile National Girl's Team and it's an excellent facility."

Norman's team from Ottawa is a perfect 4-0 so far in round robin play.  He talks about his team's success.

"Playing a very team game," says Norman. "Everybody contributing and doing their job and not doing more than what they're asked.  Sticking with the game plan and a real team effort."

Men's division action yesterday saw the Manitoba Bisons defeat QC1-As de St Coeur de Marie by a score of 3-0.  Portager Conner Roy was in net for the shutout and he says this team is different than past years.

"The team seems to be gelling way better than it did in the past," says Roy. "I think we can make a good run for the title here."

The win pushes Manitoba's record to 3-1 in the round robin with one game left.  They face the Balgonie Barons from Saskatchewan in their final match who will come into the game with a 0-4 record.

In the women's division, Team Manitoba is sitting in last place in their pool with a 0-4 record.  In the mixed division, NB/NS - MLF and QC - Video Clip lead the pack with 4-0 records.
There is a full slate of games today with ball-drop at 8:00 am.  Playoff games will start at approximately 2:00 pm.
