Brad Erb says he is both proud and humbled to be acclaimed as the Reeve of the Rural Municipality of Macdonald for a third straight term.

In three elections, Erb has not faced any competition.

Looking back over he last two terms, there are some highlights he is happy to share.

"We've had significant residential and commercial/industrial growth in the municipality. Those would be highlights," says Erb. "Right now, we've managed to increase our tax base. I think we're second in assessment now, provincially for Rural Municipalities, something like that. We have a fairly manageable mill rate. Our finances are in good shape."

Looking ahead, Erb knows there is work to do.

"One of the things that we've done a fairly good job on, is drainage within the municipality, from an agricultural perspective," says Erb. "Some of the infrastructure, our road infrastructure, has become a real challenge. I think there's an opportunity to really concentrate some efforts on improving our road network."

While residents of the RM will not be voting for Reeve or for Councillor of Wards 1 and 5, (Matt Bestland and Robert Morse were acclaimed), there will be elections in the other four wards.

Ward 2: Robert Turski or Glen Irvine
Ward 3: Ed Rempel or Barry Feller
Ward 4: Paul Pfrimmer or Paul Surminski
Ward 6: Rick Schinkel or Deidre Keddie
