The troubles continue for a local soccer team following a recent loss.

On Wednesday evening the Portage Blaze fell prey to Stonewall in the Winnipeg Women's Soccer League, by a 3-1 final.

The Blaze, who compete in league's second division, haven't been able to find their game so far this year, managing only one win this season.

Portage coach, Bryan Mintenko, says on Wednesday his club came out very strong nabbing the contests first goal. From there he says much like many other times during the season, the Blaze let up and allowed their opponent back in the game. He points out the Stonewall goal just before halftime, deflated his troops and they weren't able to recover from that point on.

Next up for the Blaze is a game this Monday at Republic Park versus Red River.
