The M.P. for Selkirk-Interlake-Eastman is reflecting back on a busy year. James Bezan says that aside from the federal election results, he believes 2015 was a fairly strong year overall for our area. Bezan notes the economy did encounter some bumps along the way, with the downfall in oil prices having a significant impact on many people. He says he's very thankful for the continued support he's been able to receive in the riding and for the chance to still play a major role in Ottawa in representing his constituents' interests.

Bezan adds the issues of economy and security are still paramount, and he hears more about those issues from folks in the riding than about anything else. He says he's concerned with the new Liberal government's apparent obsession with changing our country's electoral system. Bezan notes the Conservatives strongly believe that Canadians are the ones who ultimately need to make that decision through a referendum.
