An annual charity event put on by the U of M Aggies made a triumphant return to Portage la Prairie earlier this month.

The Bedpush event, which had been sidelined due to COVID-19, got its time to shine once again this past October 14th.

Paige Morisseau, a charity representative for the Aggies, says the group raised an estimated $15,000 for STARS Air Ambulance.

"It went super smoothly. We are really happy with all the donations we got and all the people that came to watch us and supported us."

The Aggie explains she wishes they could do an event like this more than once a year, as it was such a blast walking down the streets of Portage, St Claude, Manitou, Morden and Oak Bluff.

"Everybody honking and just waving and stuff. It was just really cool to see."

Morisseau adds that if anyone is thinking about becoming an Aggie, it is definitely worth it.

"I would say being an Aggie is really fun. Everybody in the facility will be super nice, and you get along with everybody so well. I love being an Aggie. I don't think I would rather have it any other way, honestly."

Morisseau extended a huge shoutout to everyone who donated to the event, noting that none of this would be possible without them.
