Big Brothers Big Sisters of Portage is getting a helping hand thanks to Pampered Chef.

BBBS Executive Director Dawn Froese explains, like most non-profits, all their spring and summer fundraisers have been cancelled this year due to the pandemic. This included their annual Big Duck Race, which would have taken place Canada Day. She says Pampered Chef Consultant Amanda Lavineway heard about the duck race being cancelled and wanted to help out.

"She asked if we'd be interested in partnering and we said yes, we would," explains Froese. "So from July 9th to the 25th we will be hosting a Pampered Chef party through Facebook. If people don't have Facebook, or don't like to do that online, they can contact our office and we can get physical books out to people."

Froese says organizing a fundraiser is a lot of work, so having someone from the community step up to help coordinate one is wonderful.

Pampered Chef sells a variety of home and kitchen products, and Big Brothers Big Sisters will receive a portion of all the sales generated through the fundraiser.
