Another Alberta clipper will be making its way across the province on Thursday, leaving possible snow and freezing rain in its wake.

Alberta clippers have been the cause for some of the recent storms in the city, including the blizzard we saw on February 1st.

The precipitation we'll get could amount to five centimetres of snow, and when coupled with a 60 per cent chance of flurries in the evening, Portagers can expect to see a little bit more snow.

We'll also see a drop in temperature to -22 when we were previously enjoying temperatures of -8 for the past few days.

Winds gusting to 50 km/h will undoubtedly leave much to be desired for visibility on the road, plus the upswing in temperatures we experienced will lead to partially melted snow turning to ice. Stay vigilant on the roads as icy conditions could cause accidents.

If you are planning on going on any highways, make sure your car has supplies and food in the event of a crash or breakdown.
