An accident took place west of Portage la Prairie on this side of the diversion in the westbound lanes at about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

A semi and pickup truck collided driving the pickup off the road on the north side of the westbound lanes. Traffic was down to one lane westward.

Police, fire department and EMS were on site. Vehicles did not look seriously damaged, and no further information is available.
