Ian Miller's carrying on his father Darcy Miller's tradition in raising funds for cancer patients at Oakville School.

"My dad started a fundraiser," says Ian Miller "And when he passed away I wanted to do something. It's for people who have cancer. We sold freezies to kids in school."

He says they sold the treats on the school's Skittles Day so that members of the community could come out and support as well. Several made monetary donations.

His teacher Mrs. Brooks says she's proud of Ian, and notes he raised $433.80. She adds it would be a great tradition for Ian to carry on, it was a fabulous experience for him, and it was pretty special for everyone to have been a part of it.

"I'd like to thank Jackson Lee, Brooklyn Sawchuk, Kevin Vince, Jack Holmes and Tristan Blight," says Ian, as he also thanks the Portage Co-op and Portage Supermarket who donated the freezies.
