The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is poised to make its annual holiday appearance at the William Glesby Centre next month. Lee Beaton, Marketing and Events Coordinator for the Portage and District Arts Centre, says she's currently working with the Special Events committee to find all the different volunteers they'll need for this popular event. Beaton notes ticket sales are going very well but there are still good seats available for the symphony's holiday concert on December 14th.

She says this is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on their calendar each year, adding it's become a favourite holiday tradition for many families in the Portage area. Beaton notes it really puts people in the mood to start their Christmas shopping or perhaps finalize their shopping, and it gets everyone in the spirit of giving. She adds by attending this event and others at the Centre, folks are also generously lending their support to the facility and to the community. You can find more information about the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra's holiday concert on the Portage and District Arts Centre's website.
