Several truckers were stranded once again in Portage la Prairie due to highway closures resulting from the storm that hit the city. Daniel Stone drives for Gardewine out of Winnipeg, and shares his plight.

Daniel Stone"I expected to be at home relaxing, watching TV, not sitting in a snowstorm an hour from home," says Stone." "Highways are all closed. I've been here since 4:30 this morning, as in Friday morning. I'm hoping that we can get out soon. But that's depending on the winds and Mother Nature, of course."

He notes it's not his first rodeo.... or snowstorm, seeing as he's been trucking since 2001.

"It's a just a little harder when you have two trailers behind you," continues Stone. "You have very little room to park."

He adds he's just waiting patiently and keeping up with weather reports on Youtube and Facebook.
